#RedCarpetReady with @Dailyscocktails and @EatWholly

RedCarpetReady   I do not typically watch the red carpet portion of the awards shows but when I was chosen by @EatWholly and @dailyscocktails to host this ultimate #Oscars party, I was super excited. I absolutely love all the Wholly products, the classic medium salsa is by far my fav. The spicy guacamole was also a big hit at our #RedCarpetReady party. The kit I received included three varieties of Wholly Guacamole, three varieties of Wholly Salsa, three wholly stress toys shaped like avocados  2 wholly chip clips, 2 Daily's Cocktail glasses, a red carpet to roll out, and a $20 Walmart gift card to purchase the Daily's Cocktails. 4d384cc42be92e2bdcb0da4ca59e7597
Our party night started off with tortilla chips and wholly salsa, cajun chicken kabobs with guacamole dip, and ended with our Daily's Cocktails :) The flavors of Daily's cocktails we enjoyed were: Frozen Lemonade, Pina Colada, Strawberry Margarita, Margarita, and Pomegranate Margarita. The best flavor for me was the Pina Colada..though the Frozen Lemonade was a close 2nd.

After digging in to all the great foods and drinks, we watched "End of Watch" with . The movie is shot documentary-style, this film follows the daily grind of two young police officers in LA who are partners and friends, and what happens when they meet criminal forces greater than themselves. The movie was hard to follow at first but tied together at the end.

With the $20 gift card I was able to purchase quite a few Daily's Cocktails for my friends and myself. They were only $1.97 at our Walmart but I have seen them as low as $1.88 at Shop N Save. You can also use the Wholly Locator or the Daily's Locator to find products at stores near you. Be sure to like, follow, and pin both of these great sponsors below.

Review~Diary of a Wimpy Kid Dog Days Blu Ray

Hey everyone, last night I received my copy of Diary of a Wimpy Kid Dog Days from Mommy Bear Media. I watched it with my 14yr old daughter, 11yr old son, 3yr old son, and my hubby. Everyone really enjoyed this movie. The concept of being out of school for the summer is something most grade school age children can relate to. There is no bad language in the movie. There are tons of funny parts but there is also lessons learned by Greg. I believe my 11yr old son enjoyed it the most. I do not want to give too much away in case you haven't seen the movie. BUT here is 1 movie clip that was by far the kid's favorite part :)

If you are interested in purchasing this movie, be sure to check it out HERE for Blu Ray or HERE for DVD Also check out Mommy Bear Media on Facebook or on Twitter for more movies. You can even just go to the Mommy Bear Media website.

Holidays for Kids Book Review

Good morning Midwest Mamas Reviews fans. I had the opportunity to do a book review for Orangeberry Book Tours. The book is called Holidays for Kids by Charles Pascalar(@cpascalar). The book focuses on creating memories and traditions with your children that help make their childhoods the best ever.

Each chapter has fun little activities that you can do with your children that don't require TV, video games, or even much money. It doesn't just focus on the typical or traditional holidays such as Easter, Christmas, or Thanksgiving. For instance, Popcorn Day is January 19th or my all time favorite is March 4th, "National Clean Your Room Day." What parent doesn't love that day? LOL

There a tons of games, recipes, songs, and other fun ideas to help teach and spend time with your children. Everyone should take the time to read through this book and make it a goal to try out a few things with your children. This would also be a great gift idea for teachers or daycare's. So before "Stay up as late as you want Day"(December 31st) make sure you get this book and get reading.

You can find the book for sale at Charles Pascalar's website or even at Amazon!!
